We built the Gulf tough because out in the salt it is. It features: an IPX6 water resistance rating that offers reliable splash performance, a smooth 9-bearing system, brass main gear, brass pinion, and stainless-steel main shaft that delivers power, durability, and long-term smoothness. As for stopping power? It’s Maxed out by High-performance carbon and stainless-steel drag washers that deliver an unrelenting 25kg of drag on the 8000 and 10000 sizes. All this power means nothing if the reel flexes. That’s why it’s built on a strong, lightweight aluminium body and side plate, with the bail wire and bail arm fully integrated into the rotor. Performance is boosted even further by an aluminium, CNC-machined handle with a secure screw-in system, a matching aluminium knob, and a precision aluminium spool. Available in 5000, 8000 and 1000 sizes.
